Kathleen "Kay" M. Lucas
Kathleen "Kay" M. Lucas founded The Lucas Law Firm which has been recognized as an established leader in all aspects of Employment Law. She has published articles and has been the subject of interviews in various legal publications. She has negotiated cases involving all aspects of employment law and has represented clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations and jury trials. She has experience in seeking remedies involving a wide variety of employment law issues arising from different events occurring in large and small, local and global workplaces.
She is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the McFetridge Inn of Court, California Employment Lawyers Association, National Employment Lawyers Asssociation, the San Francisco and California Bar Associations, a Trustee of the San Francisco Law Library among other organizations. She is admitted to practice in California and the District of Columbia and has been admitted to practice in a number of United States Federal Courts. A cum laude graduate of George Washington Law School, she undertook graduate courses in Labor Arbitration at Georgetown Law School, Washington, D.C.
Karina Romabiles attended City College of San Francisco and was awarded an Associate in Arts Degree and a Paralegal/Legal Studies Certificate. She is also a recipient of the Award of Achievement from City College of San Francisco.
She has worked at The Lucas Law Firm as a legal assistant and later as a paralegal. She is experienced in conducting research on the Rules of Court and preparing documents for filing with the courts, maintaining the legal library, preparing letters to opposing counsels, courts and clients, conducting new client telephone interviews, preparing various attorney-client documents and assisting attorneys with filings with the DFEH, EEOC as well as State and Federal Courts (Trial and Appellate).
She is fluent in Spanish and English.
